Creating Film Posters

Today I sketched out some ideas for my Movie Posters. My main focus was on getting different genres and making sure the designs clearly showed the genre I was going for. With this in mind, I have made Science Fiction, Thriller and Western Posters.

I also made sure to include as many of the features from my initial research as possible, including the obvious things such as Titles and characters, and the other important things such as tag lines, previous film credits,  film festival awards and titles.

I also annotated my work, which I will put more detail into when the image has been scanned in. As my sketched drawings aren't brilliant it is important for both me and markers to understand what I have drawn and so I have a better vision of what the poster will look like when it is finished.  These details include things like colours, washes, font styles and filters that I can't show or draw properly in my orginal sketches.

Now I need to properly annotate, make some changes, decide on final titles and prepare to make my final Posters on Photoshop.
