So now I have collected my various magazine clippings, font designs and internet images to create my mood board for my Science Ficition Movie poster. i am really pleased with how it is looking, capturing the visual feel im looking for with Red on Black as the most prominent visual style. Included are annotations for the themes the board describes, such as Artificial Intelligence, Propaganda and Violence to name a few.
In terms of imagery I have chosen from a wide range of Science Fiction material but all carefully chosen to represent the mood of my piece. For instance, the theme of "Urban Resistance" is prominently shown aswell as more common Science Fiction themes such as robots, lasers etc. Also I have specialised in creating a mood of evil, something that runs as a common theme in most Science Fiction, especial that of an external, unknown, alien evil.
Lastly, and maybe most importantly for my poster, I have included images of people in shock and awe. One of the main appeals of Science Fiction is many times you see things that generally shock you with their size, for instance the skies full of invadin enemy ships or an exploding planet. The silhouette image will either appear or inspire my final poster and hopefully act as one of the most important components.
